february week 4

today in class we go to use the photography studio and equipment it was pretty nice and i got some good shoots

so for the first time i went to the undefeated sf store since my homie work there i was going by to say what sup but he was off but it's a nice place and plus i end up getting some dope stuff.

later that night me and mary went to the cheese steak shop this place is a childhood memory since my dad use to take me to the one in berkeley , i use to love this place i most say the food was good.

had some time so i took a photo of one of the best things in my childhood my gameboy color it been a min since i lasted played with it and i most say it is still fun i cant believe it still works ahaha.

after i came back from undefeated sf i got some cool pins a leopard tee and a play dirty hand that i thought was funny/cool.

i have really been in to taking photos of my shoes . i got my jordan 4 cements the other day and i most say i love them since i could never find a pair of 1999 jordan 4 cements that i could wear since most of them a not wearable. all so for valentines day i did a heart of Jordan's it was a little hared then i thought to make the heart shape but i got what i was looking for after playing with it for 10 mins. p.s. got some krispy kreme donuts :) thanks mary.

so i got to go to the golden state warriors vs Los angeles clippers game since my cousin was nice enough to get me a free ticket. it was a good game plus golden state warriors won so that was nice i have no been to a game in years but i hope to go back soon thanks nick for the tickets.

since i don't do much macro anymore i went around my house to try to find some then nice to take a photo of, i use to love macro photography but now i am more in to landscape photography. i will start to do more macro it take more time since most of the time i do macro free hand and it harder , i might get a carbon tripod but no time soon.

february week 1-3

I end up going to berkeley public market for the first time with mary it was pretty cool next time i go back i will buy some then ahha . They give out simple food so that a plus later that night nai came and had some noodles. After that we left and i went to get some food.

So last monday i was in class and right when i move my camera bag my 24-70 2.8 came out and hit the floor hard. The whole class made it seem like it was a car accident. I was shocked for about 10 mins i never dropped a lens before and had no idea my camera bag zipper came off . Just my luck i guess .

When i got home i looked for video to help me out tor a part i could replace it with since it would not zoom with out using to much power so i end up taking it to a camera shop where he was no help for the most part . I did not want to spend $400+ to get it fixed, so i took it apart and end up fixing it :) so happy to save my money and not have to wait

Did a photoshoot with the homie Derrick, went over to berkeley and got some good shoots to look at them go to PORTRAITS.

- Went to san leandro marina to see and get a photo of the sunset it turned out pretty good after that went to niketown to look for some freeruns but had no luck.

got my jordan X today had to wait in line for about 3 hours but it was not to bad. I REALLY would like to have the original one but they go for why to much on ebay and i am not willing to pay that much. One reason i like these so much is because i have the jordan 45 jersey.

These photos are about 2 weeks old i have been really busy since school started . the first set of photos are from a nice day in san francisco. I did a photo shoot for some friends go take a look at all my work here. After that we went out to Sausalito to go to a restaurant name SUSHI RAN this is a 5 star place with 5 star prices if your balling on a budget i would not go here the food was really fresh but i would not go here that much , Its on of the top sushi places in the world. a

- Went out to eat with my family for my cousin nike birthday we when to bubble gums restaurant in san francisco it was good but i will not be going back it was my first and last time going because these so cheap , for $20 you will not be full unless you don't eat much. After that when back to his house to cut the cake .

- This day was chill stayed home and played cod and had pizza with mary all so had birthday cake ice cream .

These are the first photos i took for the year 2012 .They where taken with my nikkor 105mm 2.8 micro it was right after it stop raining the night before so i got some cool rain drops.

-Later that day had dinner with most of the family for new years , played MW3 on the xbox for the first time and was doing just as good as i do on PS3 i don't like xbox for one you have to pay for online game play and the remote is slower .

Today i go my 1996 space jam jersey in the mail anyone that know me know that i love space jam, concords x 1996 finals snapback x tune squad space jam

- Took some photos of my Jordan's first one is of the jordan concords with a bokeh background. The true blue 3 and the midnight 6 are before photos i am working on them , hopefully to bring them back to a NDS look. Stay tune for the final look.

I got this holga camera as a christmas gift from dominique / her dad had to be one of the best gift i got since i was a kid because it was a big surprise didn't know i was going to get some then like this , made me feel like a kid / wish i was a kid when christmas comes around because its just not the same anymore .

Later that day mary came by and we ate some food then went with joe to the dubs

- the next day me and joe when to bevmo to get some liquor.

- Today me and my mom when over to san francisco to go to the moonstar buffet. we meet out with most of my family on my mom side it was one of the best belated party i had in a long time plus the food was good thank you everyone that came for my birthday party love you all .

- The next day me and my cousin from Denmark went on a hike in the berkeley hills. It had to be a 5 mile hike it took so long to get to the top but it was worth it because i got a beautiful sunset photo

I didn't get to do a 365 project this year because i had a d90 then sold it, went to get a new one and sold it to buy a d7000. So here are some of my favorite photos from 2011 . This years has been good getting allot better at taking photos. Next year i hope to make some more upgrades on a new body but i am pretty set on the lenses i have . First up is one of my favorite things for me this year and that was night photography i had so much fun doing this even if i had to wait in the cold and walk allot but it was worth it.

Merry belated christmas everyone that views my blog . Went over to san francisco to my grandma house , great to be with all the family. Its sucks and it is really weird not to see or talk to my grandma besides that it was really good lot of laughs and good memories plus i got allot of things that i liked and some i didn't like but that not what christmas is about. I remember when i was a kid how christmas was so fun and could not wait now it kind of whatever but i still love the day just the joy is gone.

Finally after 12 hours in line i got the jordan xi concord but it was not easy , me, kenny , joe , nae and Michael stayed in the cold so long are feet were num that we could not move them for a long time. This is my first and last time going crazy over some jordan that everyone going to have these cost $200+ way to much , for people being so broke and being the 99% and all that shit everyone sure did have money to pay for some over price shoes . I loved the 2001 concords that i had back in the day but i sold them because they where to little i wish i had them in my size . These new ones are made shitty that why i don't wear any Jordan's that are from 03 & up but i always loved them. IT CRAZY how some one could be killed or hurt over some shoes. Back to the story when footlocker was going to open people start cutting and buy the time 5.0 got there it was no size left in my size so i was lucky to get a size 8.5 allot of people in front of me didn't get there shoes and was there before me . After looking for a day i found someone to trade with me.

After i meet up with Crystal to do the trade THANKS AGAiN! Me, may , teresa and mary went to downtown san francisco to go to christmas in the park. I dont know how to skate so i was not going to bust my ass in the cold i just came to take photo's. After that went to the cheesecake factory it was pretty good .

Last week at school i had to present my photos to my class it went really good. I thought they where going to say some then bad because i had a fisheye photo in the group but it went good with the set of photos. Some of the photos are taken with a 14-24mm 2.8 , nick brought it by so i could test it out since i need a wide angle lens and i will be getting a d700 asap , the lens is not to big to me and very sharp stupid sharp.

I got a new pair of sb blazers, these are my second pair i love these. One of my favorite sb ever because they go with everything. When i got to my house i start looking for my old toys and games. I found a WCW/NWO launch box , Pokemon games and ball , allot of gameboy games a gameboy color. I also found you could say one of the first gameboys it call (game & watch) by Nintendo it was made in 1982-83. Then i found some old basketball & football players cards + some michael jordan one that i hope are worth some then.

Went over to san francisco to chill went to chinatown , california street and pier 31. I got some pretty good shoot for the night shoot for not haveing a tripod and handheld most of the long exposure. The exposure where about 30 sec long next time i will have a tripod or mono pod. I need a wide angle lens a.s well, when ever i go full frame (fx) i will have a true 24mm and not cropped. After i was done with the photos me and nini went to urban outfitters seen this funny book , mug also got this film camera key chain that is dope.

I finally got flickr pro after waiting all most a year if you have flickr add me. Went to the San Jose Flea Market. It was my first time going here i always heard it was big and a good place to get things but when i got there it just seem like every other Flea Market i ever been to. It was just really big, Flea Markets always have over sized unreal butt manikin ahaha. Seen allot of nintendo systems and games. After that we went to the Farmers Market had some good honey tangerine that came from Peru. When we where done from being at the Flea Markets we decides to go to the Great Mall / Dave & busters. I didn't win nothing big this time been saving for 7 + years to get some then big ahah.

Last weekend i went to san jose. When i got there it was late me, may, teresa and mary where trying to go to the boiling crab since i never been there i was happy to try it but when we got there there where people out the door and the wait was a hour long. So they decide to walk around to kill time after that i was like we should just go to Famous Dave's. I had this place as a bookmark for a long time now.I don't remember how i found the restaurant. If you don't know Famous Dave's is a BBQ restaurant we got the feast. The funny thing about getting this is half the people working there start screaming feast feast feast!! when the food comes out. The server was really cool and the food was really good if you like BBQ and your in the san jose area or tracy area you should go.

I ended up going with my sister,her friend and aunt to Catalina island. We where going to a jazz concert but could not go because the concert started at 7 and the last boat left at 6:45 so thats where they get you. So you would have to stay over night just to go to the concert. The boat ride cost $70 my sister was so nice to pay for me. The ride took about 2 hours to get there since we had to make one stop if you don't like to be on the boat don't go you will be sick.When we got there it was really nice but the weather sucked why to overcast. After we walk around we got some seafood it was not that good but its was a nice view.Then we walked around and i got some cool photos.

los angeles day two

My cousin jasmine came to pick me up. We went down to the Fairfax , Melrose area it's kind of the soho for the west coast. A lot of street wear shops down here like TH (THE HUNDREDS) Supreme, Flight club, Hall Of Fame, Diamond supply co etc. Came down here to get lucky and maybe get some then from supreme even if they did have the Clarks/supreme boots there to pricey for me. After that went down to la brea to buffalo exchange and had no luck just not my day i guess ever time i go on la brea i always pass this place on the corner and never go in. This is a really interesting place to go to a lot of props from movies. After that went down to the stores finally i got a beanie from stussy that does not come out for 3 weeks that was really dope.

Went to Los angeles this week to see my family. I missed the first flight because there was so many people and it took about a hour to get passed baggege check. Lucky they had a flight a hour later so i got on. After i got to LA i went to sleep since i had class the day before and didnt get out to 10pm plus i had a flight at 7 so i had no sleep really so when i got to LA it felt like i been on a plane for 10 hours. After i got up me and my sister went to look for home things then had dinner. Part 2 tomorrow.

I got a new camera a d7000 and a 50 1.8 decided to use it so i took it to school. Was playing around with nick's 60mm macro since i have a 105mm but im glad i got the 105 and not the 60 anyways we where up looking at people photos/art and we had a earthquake. Its was kind of funny because people in the class really just ran. I guess they could out run the earthquake too funny.

This is part 2 of fleet week. These are photos of when i was walking back since there where so many people out for this the busses did not really run. We had to walk from embarcadero to pier 39 its not that bad when there not a lot of people but this day was not the case. After we got back to oakland me,nai and mary went to everett and jones. I never been to this one even tho i walk passes it all the time since i alway go to the one in berkeley. Did not eat the whole day so it was really good all so this restaurant was nicer then the on in berkeley. The one in berkeley is a hole in the wall but taste the same. Enjoy the photos

Went to fleet week last week if you don't know what fleet week is you most not stay in the bay area or have been under a rock sleep. This was the 30+ years since they have had it. I could remember being in school back when i went to school in san francisco going to the top of Roosevelt middle school and watching them practice. John let me use his 600mm f8 i was happy to use it but it was way to big and was not that sharp when it came to the bokeh the blue angles never really slowed down for anyone to take photos so i need fasted glass (lens) but i dont have a 70-200 2.8 so i did the best i could enjoy the photos will have a part 2 soon.

NYC RANDOMS

These are some photo's that i don't like as much or over passed the first time when i was looking over the photos i took in new york city. I don't like them to much but you might. The first 4 images are the bokeh pic.Two of them are from soho and the rest are from ground zero and times square. I have been busy with school and etc so i have been updating my blog kind of slow i will have a new post everyday. I also got to test out the 85 1.4 and i love the bokeh in it might end up buying after i get a new body first. I plan on getting a d7000 or a d700 soon most likely a d7000. When nikon comes out with a new FX (full frame) camera the d700 will go down and i will save money so i have just been playing the waiting game.

bart coma accident

When i got off the airplane i went down with daniel that i meet on the plane it funny how they seat the only two black people in first class next to each other but im glad they did he is a cool guy after he got his bag we went to bart. The bart train came and for 11 pm it was packed a lot of people got of the plane that night. When we got between coma & daly city the train slowed down and the conductor turned off the train he told us that someone jumped in front of the train. The way he said it was like he was crying you know it was bad at first i was mad. I just got off the plane from a 5 hour flight and someone decided to kill there self but then i thought about it and i felt bad for them. After waiting a hour another bart train came we had to jump out the train to a little platform in the tunnel then go down a little ladder then passed the 3rd rail. For anyone that does not know the 3rd rail can kill you. Then we went up the ladder to the bart train after everyone got on we went to daly city to get on another bart train before we could do that police came on bart to take down everyones info and phone numbers.This part took forever after we got on i finally made it home after a 2-3 hour delay.

new york day 3

These photos are from one of the lasted days in new york went to the brooklyn bridge and seen history made for the first day of the protest that has since that day gone around the USA. When we got off the subway i know some then was not right there was way to many police. So then i start walking up to the bridge and see groups of people walking down. The lane to brooklyn were stop by protester and the police made all the cars back up to the streets. Then i keep walking up to the first tower and protester where seating down not letting anyone pass so dominique tour didn't go the way that she would like but im glad it didn't because this was way better and i was lazy ahaha. After that i went down to the 911 memorial aka ground zero i have not been to the world trade center since august of 2001 it was about 2 weeks before 911. I am so glad i got to see the world trade center and go to the top. I was hopping to go to the waterfall but you have to have a ticket and i didn't know so i was kind of pissed about that but know i now.

After that went to soho to go the supreme store and they didn't have shit. It start raining but then stop so we went to FCNY (flight club)

NYC DAY 2-3

These photos are from soho and noho no not d-lo but this would be the place to go if your in to streetwear places like supreme , flight club , black scale and other boutique store. Went down here to see my good friend Alfred cant believe i have know him for almost 9 years time go by fast it crazy. I all so meet some of the black scale crew. Meet the homie brian that was doing a shoot Alfred ask me to do some behind the scenes shoots. Then after that we where looking for some then to eat on but was not trying to get lost even tho it was only life right left so we decided to go to the restaurant on the conner called pulino's bar and grill . This restaurant was a nice looking place but don't go here if your trying to save money soda cost 3 + there are no refill they give you water with no ice the food was pretty good but it remind me of some over price stouffers i should of went with soul food but it was not close and i was lazy ahah. After that went to times square. Times square turn in to people running to building because there was a flash flood almost it was raining bullets with in 2 mins. Enjoy the photos

Ok this is part two dominique trying to be a tour guide keyword try ahaha anyways . Went downtown to the empire state building even tho i been here before i decided to go back to take photos. Online they say it cost $22 to go to the top but if you pay that you have to wait 2 hours + in a line so we decided to pay $50 for a sky-ride and got to the top in 30 mins. The sky-ride sucked! it like a bootleg version of California adventure. California adventure is dope but this ride say 4D but it look like some shitty 3D only get the ticket if you don't have time to wait in long lines. These photos were taken with a 10.5mm fisheye and 24-70mm. Enjoy

flight to NYC

These are photos from last week when i was in New York. I did not have wifi only on the airplane for 30 mins on a 5 hour + flight after that you have to pay $14 that how they get you. I was the only black person on in first class they always think your a rapper or some then just because im in some over price seats. The brunch menu was ok for a plane ride. When i got to queens i finally made my way to grand central station. This is the first post of 4 more about nyc.

This weekend me and mary when to Lakeshore Café i have been trying to go here for the past 3 weeks but on sat there always to many people in the area. This sunday was a good day to go because the weather was not that good compared to the past week and alot of people stayed home i guess. This place is great for breakfast,brunch and lunch. enjoy

These are photo from labor day my sis took me to the Sausalito art festival what was $25 to get in it was nice for about the first hour then it was beyond boring i enjoy art but for my age i cant enjoy it as much as i should. I see alot of art that was over price i could never pay $1000 for a photo i can take my self. Beside that i went over to Marin county to see love peace a joy they where really good all and all i enjoyed my day and thankful i have a sis that does so much for me.

This holiday weekend has been busy for me. Hella homework still not done and editing videos , photos plus getting ready for the adidas EARN YOUR STRIPES 4, mary went to bakesale betty and i had one of there sandwich it was ok when i got it, it was not hot anymore so i didn't like it to much i cant see why people line up to go there for a 10 dollar sandwich that not that great to me why to hyped . Vietnamese sandwich are better and half the price.

So yesterday i look at my tracking number on ebay and it said i was getting my lens that day i was suprise. Because i was thinking i was going to get it next week. Good i have is so i can take some cool photo at the Adidas 'Earn Your Stripes' Cypher. Its this sunday if you don't know. Back to the little review this lens is sharp and you can get close AF to some one. Its a fun lens but its to little for my hands it smiler then a 50 1.8 that i had i don't like that but besides that i like it and will have alot of fun with it. Some photo taken with the 24-70mm 2.8 & the 18-35mm. Enjoy the photos

These are photos from this past week when i went out to the berkeley marina to do a photoshoot. Wasn't as clean out as i would have like it to be but i worked with the overcast weather and the photo turned out pretty nice. My blog look bigger because it is i decided to have my photo bigger ones more back in 07/08 when i first stared blogging my photo's where really little.Then in 09/2010 i went to a bigger size now im to this size. This size will be the size that will stay. It is important to have your photos a good size when people look at your work and if it is to little its not a good look on your part as a photographer.

My mom birthday

This week was my mom birthday so me my mom and my family went out to one of my all time

favorite seafood restaurants in berkeley called SPENGERS. Had some great food and a fun time i recommend this restaurant if you like/love seafood.

moving day and pizza

I spent my day working with my sis , nick and mary. My sister is moving so we all helped her out. So 4 hours later she took us out to zachary's chicago pizza it was my first time going had some good laughs and ate good the pizza was good but not great to me to much cheese. I like uno pizza more but that just how i feel. All photos taken with a 24-70 2.8 enjoy the photos.

Finally got my 24-70mm 2.8 i have been trying to get this lens for the whole year for a good price and finally did. i did run in to some bull shit on ebay this guy tried to sale me a 24-70 but it was a lens mug and i had to go bad on him people are sad watch out for people on ebay feedback,how long they been on there and there location . Back to the lens it sharp but heavy. So i miss my 50mm that i sold i going to have to get a 1.4 soon and a 10.5 as well.

Theses photo are from this week going with nai and mary to watch nai rock climb. she did it so that was pretty cool she did wimp out . Also some photo's from KURSE KREW video shoot
